Review of Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974) by Kenneth G — 25 May 2008
Let's go through the list: alcoholism? check. abused women and abusive men? check. check. gun fights? check. gravediggin? check! The film actually seems to be a very personal story for Peckinpah. It tends to get lost amidst his other two masterpieces in the 70s - "Straw Dogs" and "The Wild Bunch".
But it's equally as good. If you're in for the ride, it's well worth the watch.
