Review of Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack (2017) by Caitlin L — 03 Sep 2017
This movie was a step down for the Bring It On franchise. The characters were shallow millennial stereotypes, with the main character being saved from her social-media narcissism by a wise "street artist" who reminds her to "pay attention to something other than a 5-inch screen".
The movie has enough words with "cheer" or "fem" thrown in to make the PitchPerfect writers cringe. The hand-waved explanation is the words are "feminized to give them strength".
The twist was stale, the characters are undeveloped, and worst of all the cheer was just okay.
