Review of Bring It On (2000) by Daniel P — 02 Oct 2010

I have to admit, I liked this film more than I expected. It's a vacuous piece of Californiana but it features an easily absorbed plot, some snappy one-liners and a racially-coded rivalry. Worth watching once - on TV.

A decent enough teen movie that helps put a cap on that 90s So-Cal thing, I think I'd have liked it more if it had ended with a routine based on Punk Rock Lover Boy's musical tastes and not more of the same autotuned sugar pop that, unfortunately, was to prosper in that next decade.
