Review of Bright Young Things (2003) by Igor V — 20 Feb 2008
Entertaining at first and absolutely tedious toward the end.
The movie is one more more evidence to the fact that Emily Mortimer is one-note talentless actress.
Costume designers did a horrific job - you constantly wonder what decade the movie takes place in - small budget is spelled all over.
The main character is a total idiot who really deserves to be poor for the rest of his life - he never has enough brain to actually keep some pounds as an extra and not to blow every penny into his deals. Yeah, yeah - I know - it was done for dramatic effect, nonetheless it's dumb.
James McAvoy is the only bright spot in this total fluff.
