A mature and beautifully filmed drama about the poor poet John Keats and his love for Fannie, the woman who inspired him to write much of his romantic poetry.
Abbie Cornish stars as Fannie. Her understated performance gives the character strength and she is all the more moving as she watches the man she loves slip away. Ben Whishaw also gives a fragile and heartfelt perforamnce as Keats.
Director Jane Campion has created a wonderful and beautiful film with a meticulous eye for detail.
