Review of Bright Star (2009) by Wayne S — 26 Mar 2010
An almost perfect little period film about the poet John Keats that leaves us with that sense.
Of having stumbled into the infinite that good poetry can achieve. Passionate, yet restrained; and does anyone make better choices than director Jane Campion? Paul Schneider has to be the most underrated actor in cinema today. Revel in his performance as the rather unwieldy third leg of this doomed triangle of affection.
