Review of Bright Star (2009) by Ashley H — 17 Dec 2011
Bright Star is a disappointing film. It is about the romance between the poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne. Abbie Cornish and Ben Whishaw give believable performances in spite of the film being dull for the most part.
The script is not that well written and slow. Jane Campion did a terrible job directing this movie. I had high expectations for this motion picture but was let down. I would not recommend in seeing Bright Star.
