Review of Bright Star (2009) by Simmonne R — 17 Feb 2010
What an absolutely incredible movie. It is definitely one of the best romances I've seen in a long time. It pulled on my heartstrings and made me ache with longing for my life with be the embodiment of Keat's poetry.
John Keats is one of my absolute favorite poets and this movie was just remarkable. I loved it! It was bursting with beauty and heartbreak. Such simple scenes with so much meaning as when Keats leans in and gently caresses the back of Fanny's hand and another scene when the maid sweeps up dead butterflies in Fanny's bedroom.
This movie spoke volumes to me and made me want to passionate kiss my husband because I'm so glad he's alive and he's mine.
