Review of Bright Star (2009) by Susanne J — 21 Jan 2010
Another film of the 1800s, about poet John Keats and his relationship with Fanny Brawne. I didn't particularly like the acting, for one. And although I think of myself as a romantic type, this didn't touch me as it should.
On the other hand it was elegant, with nice cinematography and a quality you cannot name but stays with you. Well, I don't care much about poetry, that explains it all...
