Review of Bright Star (2009) by Jason R — 06 Feb 2010
A very poignant and beautiful telling of the true story of how John Keats found true love, and his calling as a poet all in a three year span before tragically succumbing to illness. But out of this romance came some of the world's most beloved and well known poetry.
A really great cast the film's three leads Paul Schneider, Abbie Cornish, and Ben Whishaw were fantastic. The film used a lot of great imagery as well, that fit perfectly with Keats poems, and made for a very enjoyable movie. This is a lot more than your typical period romance, this is something special that is worth a look.
