Review of Bright Star (2009) by Sv G — 20 Feb 2010
This offered some good things such as the performances and costume design; however for the story of a poet as passionate as Keats I really found this to lack passion. The lackluster screenplay and perhaps some of the direction as well left this somewhat slow and plodding, and a period film of this time need not be if it is written and directed well.
Worth the watch but just a fair film for me.
