My God, that was a snooze. I honestly didn't even care for the characters. In fact they annoyed me a bit. She seemed really selfish that he couldn't leave (originally) for work, and then later when he's dying, he doesn't stay and marry her. My mom and I were just poking fun at them. I can definitely see why it was snubbed from all the award shows. Abbie had some good scenes here and there, but I wasn't amazed by her acting.

The only reason this film has a 3 rating from me is because the costumes are breathtakingly beautiful, and there is some really beautiful imagery and cinematography, but really, that's where the amazingness ended for me.
