Review of Bright Star (2009) by Sergio R — 17 Jan 2011
Bright Star is beautiful and absolutley spellbinding. It tells the story of real-life poet John Keats and the tragic love he shared with his "Bright Star" Fanny Brawne. Truly a feast for the senses, Bright Star will intoxicate you with its lush imagery, wow you with its brilliant acting (the actors seem to live and breath their characters), and take you on an emotional rollacoaster untill you are left sobbing bitterly with Fanny (Abbie Cornish) as you wonder how fate could be so cruel. Words cannot describe the beauty of this film, it is simply breath-taking.
PS: I know I've mentioned this but the acting truly is amazing.
