Review of Bright Star (2009) by Mary Kathryn P — 31 Mar 2012
Though Bright Star, on the outside, looked like a promising romance depicting the life of the famous poet, John Keats, however, the film actually turned out to be sappy and clichà (C) with random scenes and bizarre changes in emotion.
The main characters' seemingly passionate love is based on obsession and drama, which for me made me sick in my stomach. I felt myself gripped to the edge of my seat, waiting for that astounding scene that would shoot me over the moon.
This film, unfortunately, fell flat for me.
