Review of Bright Star (2009) by Robin P — 22 Aug 2010
Extremely moving, emotionally touching, visually beautiful and very tragic story about the short life of the very talented poet John Keats and his passionate love relationship with Fanny Brawne. Due to his death he unfortunately was never able to marry his "Bright Star" and have a long life together.
..he was penniless and thinking himself a failure at the time of his death, even though his poetry lives on over two centuries later! So very sad! This combines two of my favorite things in movies-Period Pieces and True Life Stories and it is so well done, acting, costumes, cinematography, everything shines! I am not into poetry but after seeing this I am very tempted to look for a book of his poems :).
