It's Lord of the Rings meets Training Day and surprisingly this genre mash-up actually works! The action just kicks ass! And while the social commentary is very on the nose, some of it makes for fun plot twists.
Don't expect it to be Men In Black with fantasy creatures. This feels grittier and more relevant. This is one of Will Smith's better movies in a long time.
