Review of Bright (2017) by Jado818 — 26 Dec 2017

I gave this film 10 stars because I enjoyed the attempt to merge fantasy with modern realities. The film was entertaining and I suspect the film packed so much content and ideas into its 2 hour run length because they intend to make another film and possibly a TV show.

When I first saw the preview for the film I thought Bright was going to be a TV series because it is extremely difficult to create a complicated world with competing political factions in just 2 hours while simultaneously making the film suspenseful and action packed.

Bright did a great job and I believe the film will speak to audiences even if critics think poorly of Bright. These are the same critics who give great ratings to movies that have led to Hollywood's worst ticket sales in 25 years.

My suggestion is to ignore the critics. Watch the movie and judge it yourself.
