Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Billy M — 22 Jun 2007
David Lean is one of the great directors in film history. "Brief Encounter" is a lovely film about an illicit romance that is very brief. It is deeply emotional to watch and is very moving film, but in a different way than most.
I think a lot of people can indentify with the emotions explored in this film. It is a romance movie, but it feels like film noir in a strange way.
