Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Chris S — 08 Jul 2009
I keep telling myself that the last scene never happened and that she lived happily ever after with her lover; why did she have to come back to being a housewife to a dull husband? Still, this romantic film tugs my heartstrings, especially the moments our heroine has with her lover.
Now I have concluded that David Lean is better in directing movies about women having passionate love affairs than directing epic movies.
