Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Peter A — 09 Feb 2010
A woman named Laura gets a bit of dirt in her eye while at a train station and a doctor helps her remove it. They run into each other again at a restaurant and this all leads to an affair that lasts for about a month or two.
A great movie with good acting, good script and all the rest of it. My only complaint would be the voice over which was a constant. If characters weren't talking to each other, there was a voice over from the main character telling you what was going on and how she was feeling. In one scene she was smoking and then she tells us in a voice over that she was smoking.
If you like romantic movies, definitally check it out. I'm just picking on the voice over thing.
