Review of Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) by Lee H — 06 Oct 2016
The Bridget Jones films are a bit of an anomaly for me, as I normally find 'romantic comedies' to be generally awful. However I've liked both the previous films and this one is also quite good and probably better than the second one overall.
Now it isn't ground break in any way, but does exactly what you expect and does it well. I think the reason why these films work is down to likeability of Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth. She still has a great knack of getting the English accent spot on.
Quite funny overall, especially towards the end. Worth a watch. 4 out of 5 stars.
