Review of Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) by Miranda Z — 31 Dec 2016
A star-studded cast elevates this cliched, predictable, but ultimately entirely forgivable film. Narrative is dubious and trite: trying to make a point about love by contrasting it with algorithims, but honestly I think it would've been better off without that (even though I empathise keenly) - plus, honestly, a constantly on-off 10-year relationship probably IS doomed.
Fortunately, the men's respective answers about the baby's father sealed the deal and considering that we almost didn't get this film, I suggest letting this film sweep you up into its feel-good ending.
