Review of Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) by Matthew F. J — 09 Oct 2016
Third installment of the adventures of Bridget Jones, this new chapter is a loveavable, smart, relevant and refreshing comedy about our favorite 'outsider' who's entering a new phase of her life and must accept a few changes around her.
It's entertaining, often funny, and mirroring our current times through many topics and messages spread throughout the film. The many second characters make this film really enjoyable from Emma Thompson to Sarah Solemani, we are offered a gallery of raucous and facetious characters with some really amazing lines throughout the film.
It may lack the freshness of the first opus but it's a great pleasure to hang out with our favorite bunch for 2 nice hours and realize that after all, everything in this world ain't that bad. There is still a place for hope, love, compassion and laughter.
The feel good movie of the season.
