I really liked this two Bridget Jones movies. I really liked Bridget Jones's character, she's quirky, funny, cute, charming, lovable, and fat. Well, I mean not very fatty but that kind of a person who is 140 lbs. and smokes all the time, and does she lost weight and quit smoking, the answer is NO! And that's one problem of the film. Anyways, this 2 film's are very funny and most of the time we have to stop and think is Bridget Jones getting too much of attention than what it suppose to get by the audiences?

Alright, as we know, Renee Zellwegger, stars as the title role, and as I said earlier, she's cute and quirky and fat and smoker, and has a diary, that is thankfully starts on a new year and ends on the last day of the year. This occurs in both films, it starts on Bridget starting to write on her diary and going to her parents house for a turkey feast, and not thanksgiving because they are in UK. The movie also tells us about her relationship with these 2 men who sometimes duel for her, they're Mark and Daniel, played by Colin Firth and Hugh Grant. Daniel is Bridget's boss in her first job before in that TV company, and Mark is that kind of a man who always shows up in any party Bridget goes to. Let me think first, who Is the right man for Bridget, I think Mark, because Daniel is that kind of a jerky and pride man rather than Mark who is quite simply a simple person. In these two films, she falls for Daniel then goes to Mark, and of course Mark is the guy for her. OK, I'm done with the romance part here.

As I also said, this movie is so funny with or without Bridget. I think the first one is more understanding and the sequel is rather a comic episodic concept. I'll pick two funny scenes from each film. First, is the scene where she went on a party only wearing like a catwoman costume, guys looking at her, and probably that's one of the funniest scenes of the first film. Then, the other funny scene from the second one, is on the prison, where Bridget taught those inmates a Madonna dance and then gave them some chocolates and bra. And one more thing, why there is a prison scene in the sequel? You'll find out! And you see, there's more funnier scenes in the sequel than in the first one but it both work on me.

Now, I think what the movie tells us is not just about her diary, but also about she must improve and move on to herself, and neither both films showed that kind of scene. I laugh, I even cry, I said Ha... And I hope someday there will be a part 3, maybe another story from Bridget Jones that is I wish not about romance this time since she is married, and probably about how she will get better in not smoking and getting a little skinnier I guess.

So next time you see Renee Zellwegger, say, Oh that's Renee Zellwegger, no, that's Bridget Jones. She is the right person for this kind of role, think of any actresses today, does Bridget Jones persona reminds of you, if yes, then who?
