Sweet movie for kids.
A movie clearly made for children: main characters are all children, simplistic plot, fantasy sequences, not overly profound and what moral there was was to the story was fairly unoriginal.
This said, kids should love it.
Also, it's not all a waste of time from an adult perspective: it's hardly dull, doesn't overstay its welcome, is reasonably entertaining...and the cast includes Zooey Deschanel.
Decent performances from Josh Hutcherson and AnnaSophia Robb in the lead roles.
