Review of Bridge to Terabithia (2007) by Deb G — 14 May 2012
Man do I love this movie. Watching it reminds me of what it felt like to read those great young adult books during summer break. Josh Hutcherson shows what an amazing talent he is even in his youth and Annasophia Robb is extremely charsimatic in this role.
What I love about this film is that most coming of age stories are about growing up and putting away childish things, but this movie manages to teach the hard life lessons while still encouraging the imagination to expand in breathtaking ways.
There are stong themes about family relationships, poverty, and bullying. It's a great movie that the family can watch together.
