Review of Bridge of Spies (2015) by Bryan C — 02 Feb 2016
This is a very good movie. Tom Hanks is very good in the leading role. It is well-written. The story is engrossing. Spielberg does a very good job directing. It's everything you want in this sort of movie. Despite all that, it falls just short of being a "great" movie for me. I can't really put my finger on why that is, but that was my feeling. It seems like the sort of movie that you like in the moment, remember fondly if it comes up in conversation, but never makes it onto your list of favorite movies or into your personal library.
