Review of Bridge of Spies (2015) by Frédéric B — 06 Feb 2016
A great Steven Spielberg film! There aren't too many film elements to detail, it's just the feel of it. As always, Tom Hanks delivers us a superb and balanced character in Counselor Jim Donovan.
The cinematography and ambiguous feel of post-war Berlin makes us wonder about the climax and true allegiance of the many characters. There have been many Cold War flicks, but this is a good one; a film that help us discover the «reality» beyond the wall.
Finally, I didn't know actor Mark Rylance before, but what a funny and interesting character. I do hope this film receives many awards for set and production design and possibly best supporting actor.
