Solid! There's something about watching Tom Hanks in a Spielberg movie, I don't know... It's like coming home to your Mom's food or something; it's familiar, it's comfortable, everything seems to be right where it should be.
No surprises, just good quality. I would give it 5 stars if not for two reasons; there are a bit too many lame jokes or facile clichés for my taste, where you just feel like they're shoving it in your face (e.
G. That one scene where everybody on the train is reading the same newspaper and all looking at Hanks with accusatory looks. Come on..) And also, felt a bit too G-rated, especially for a Cold War espionage flick.
Could have been more layered and complex with less hand-holding, but again that's what gave it its charm and made a ''comfortable watch''.
