Not a bad film, keeps cadence better in the first half of the film than the messy second half, which felt very propaganda-like, with rather outdated portrayal (and perhaps accurate) of the East Germans & the Soviets.
But overall, a welcome effort. Not sure what the Coen bros input in this is other than making it perhaps darker than a typical Spielberg film would be. And for goodness sake, can we pls see a Spielberg film without Tom Hanks in the next ten years?
