Review of Bridge of Spies (2015) by Brian G — 10 May 2016

. Although the film has its flaws with its pace and hardly being action-packed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, Bridge of Spies is an entirely satisfying and great film thanks to the performances of Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance.

Tom Hanks plays an interesting character who keeps getting up despite all of the troubles he faces (hence he is named as the Standing Man), while Rylance's mysterious role as a soviet spy only seeking to reunite with his wife is well done.

The film is a character study set in the events of tension of two great powers about to collide.
