Review of Bridesmaids (2011) by Rhynal R — 18 Jul 2013
A surprisingly good movie with little cliches. A relatable main character who deals with issues of everyday life and a great cast. The humour was great and really clever at times and Kristen Wiig does a fantastic job portraying herself as the woman who's life has fallen apart and Chris O'Dowd was hilarious as he is charming.
The effort made by the writers to ensure that it wasn't just another romance comedy was well appreciated and it worked for the movie. Now Wilson Phillips' "hold on" is stuck in my head.
8/10.
