Review of Bridesmaids (2011) by Furgang — 03 Jun 2011
Given the huge build up and enthusiastic reviews, this is one of the most disappointing movies I have seen in a long, long time. It swings between the maudlin to the just plain unfunny with an over abundance of potty jokes.
Robert Evans has said, "if it is not on the page, it won't be on the screen." There is nothin on the screen. This is a movie of no surprises, no twists ( humorous or otherwise) filled with cliche cardboard characters and a predictable plot line.
The acting, save for Ms. Wiik, is first rate as is the photography, editing. Too bad they were trapped in this dross of a production.
