Writer and star Kristen Wiig infused this laugh out loud comedy with a rich seam of reality that gives it a resonance far beyond the bulk of throwaway comedies churned out for the silver screen. A razor sharp script and gifted cast conjured up an alchemy that yielded rich dividends, this deservedly being the highest grossing R-Rated female comedy of all-time in the US.
