Review of Bridesmaids (2011) by Andy D — 11 Jan 2014
This is no chick flick! I thought it might be, largely because it's about weddings and relationships and stuff like that. But what it actually is, is a female ensemble piece that really works. Kristen Wiig emerges as a star in this, the cast all give great - and very real - performances, and it speaks the truth, albeit quite brutally at times.
Oh, and it's laugh-out-loud funny, and Chris O'Dowd is a treat as always. Hilarious!
