Review of Bridesmaids (2011) by Tanis M — 17 Jul 2016
Annie (Wiig) is bitter and self-centered which had me rooting she'd get hit by a bus rather than find true love. Everyone is to blame for her lot in life except herself. When the high point of the comedy is Melissa McCarthy's character pooping in a sink it doesn't bode well for your movie.
I've heard people call this the female version of the Hangover but I completely disagree. The characters in the Hangover were likable. Other than McCarthy's Megan is there anyone in this movie you'd want to have lunch with?
