Review of Bridesmaids (2011) by Stephen Silver for The Trend — 12 May 2011
It's not mean-spirited and doesn't hate its characters. Also, it understands the key lesson of the Farrellys and "American Pie" and Apatow's previous work: this sort of comedy works when it has heart, and fails when it doesn't.
