Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by Elizabeth R — 19 Aug 2008

I have to say I was very excited to see this movie, although I knew little of it's premise. Emma Thompson was superb, but had too little screen time. The charatcer development on some was overdone, whereas the development of Julia was neglected, and audiences came away feeling they didn't really know her enough to understand her decisions.

I left this movie with a heavy sadness for the characters and for the war-torn Brideshead estate.
