For those of us who remember the BBC TV series in the 80s this movie is a bit of a let down. Shot by formula and on a shoestring. Holds almost none of the character charm of the original dramatisation.
Just not enough time to develop the characters and Charles Ryder comkes across as the ultimate drip. The death scene is memorable.
