Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by Nick D — 10 Oct 2008
Disarmingly good, after all the pre-release snootiness. Emma Thompson provides a massive, brooding matriarchal presence that overpowers the slightly trite love-triangle strand of this adaptation.
I found the conclusion as devastating as ever. Conservativism never seemed so poignant.
