Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by Jennifer W — 02 Nov 2008
The production values in this film are really amazing; the locations are exotic, the costumes are meticulously accurate and beautiful, but sadly the narrative borders on melodrama and preachiness, while the characters are all quite vile, and none really earned my empathy/sympathy/what-have-you.
Still, it's an interesting take on the "struggles" of the classes. The actors all did a great job, given what they had to work with.
