Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by David E — 03 Nov 2008
It is lavishly beautiful, and I was touched by some of the moments. But it's very ordinary in direction, has some odd shaky camera moments quite out of character for the material, and the story itself remains unbalanced, with the first half much more intriguing than the second.
When Sebastian and Lady Marchmain leave the story, so does much of the interest.
