Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by Jean-François B — 04 Jan 2009
About average. The flick was already long enough but still inadequate to properly narrate the story. Hence, too much jumping back & forth.
Emma Thompson was good, as always, even though for such small part. Matthew Goode had input so much effort for this one off his few leading roles although he seemed to be a bit overage for the character. Ben Whishaw was a miscast for Sebastian Flyte even though for his promising talent- it had to be another Jude Law in [Wilde] or a Jonathan Rhys Meyers half decade back.
