Doesn't come close to the miniseries, and the slice-and-dice approach makes the characters seem quite shallow -- Lady Marchmain seems less religious than hypocritical and controlling, while Charles falls in love not with Sebastian or Julia but with Castle Howard.
Still, the visuals are breathtaking...I want it always to be summer at Brideshead too.
