Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by Daniel T — 07 May 2009
Poor lifeless adaptation. Much of the story's subtext is lost. Hayley Atwell is a bad actress. And Matthew Goode looked indifferent and comatose from start to finish. The only memorable presence belong to those of Emma Thompson & Michael Gambon, both great actors, and when they disappear mid-way through the film, it went to sleep and never woke up.
