Gorgeously shot movie about the effects of faith (or lack thereof) in God, in religion, in art, and how those effects and convictions permeate our actions, even when we do things contrary to those beliefs.
The movie eventually overcomes what feels like a major compression in the character development in the beginning and middle stretches.
