Review of Brideshead Revisited (2008) by Becca W — 13 Aug 2009
As much of a stiff upper lip as to be expected from a movie like this and it always amazes me how in films like this, and in the novels they're based on, people knife one another verbally and not once do any of them raise their voices.
I'd have been yelling at someone from scene one.
I don't have to say Thompson or Gambon are good because they always are but Hayley Atwell has this marvelously brattish streak which both explains why it was so easy to fall for her character as well as explain the discontent later on.
