Review of Bride Wars (2009) by Fred C — 11 Apr 2010
This movie is total, utter garbage. Hathaway and Hudson have no chemistry together, and I really just ended up hoping that both of their weddings would be disasters. It would have been more successful as a horror movie.
.. unlikable characters that get offed at the end ("torture porn," anyone?). Everything about it is poorly done -- but I admit, although I kept changing the channel, I would always quickly end up back with it.
Which may say more about me than it does about the film: A) I have no self-control and B) I have a morbid fascination with train wrecks. I wish I could recommend Bride Wars as a "watchable" or entertaining piece of escapism, but, to put it simply, it just sucks way too much.
