Review of Bride Wars (2009) by Mark F — 15 Sep 2011

Things I learned during this movie:

1) I have a crush on Kate Hudson.

2) I don't get why the critics hated this, it's not bad.

3) Narration adds something to a movie like this. Cosiness?

4) The narrator sounds like a robot.

5) It's predictable but all chick flicks are. You just want to be taken to the end in a charming, funny, heart-warming way. And this pulls that off. Kinda. Plus they're better when they're not about man-bashing. Which this isn't.

7) Weddings have become absurd, stressful, overly expensive and the antithesis of what they should be about.

8) I'm glad I'm not a girl.

9) That's all I've got.
