Review of Bride Wars (2009) by Marcus B — 28 Oct 2011
It's actually not a bad movie. A romantic comedy seen from the perspective of two women instead of the unbearably tired "boy meets girl, boy messes up, boy must fight to win the girl"-scheme, credible performance from both Hudson and Hathaway - what else would one want? Well.
.. the thing is that even though "Bride Wars" tries to take a different tack, it still manages to remain in the safe zone of unoriginal, recycled characters and a story line that is predictable from beginning to the end.
And that means that the single word that describes this flick the best is, unfortunately, "boring".
